For over two decades, Larry Hamblen has been a pillar in the barbering community, known for his precision, creativity, and the genuine care he pours into every cut. His journey began in a barbershop located in a high-crime area called Haskins Barbershop. This is where he saw first-hand the effects of poverty, and crime and how it affects our youth, especially our young Black boys today.As a father figure to many young clients, Larry has witnessed the heart-wrenching transitions from hopeful boys to troubled young men. Many have fallen victim to the streets' harsh grip, while others have perished. These experiences left an indelible mark on him, igniting a profound sense of urgency and a burning desire to make a difference.
